Friday Trio

So I played around with some more from that kit.  I'm trying hard to see just how much I can eek out of it. ;)  Consider it a challenge.  How much can you squeeze out of 10 sheets of paper and what you have on hand.
I added a little sparkle here and there on these happy little jars.  It's nice to give that hidden bling and hear folks say "oh". :)  What can I say, I like surprises--good surprises.
I used my stardust pen and scribbled some quick glitz on the lid and for the reveal...
I figure "good times" would be great for birthday, anniversary, thanks, gosh just about anything.  I'm into polka dots lately too.  Not sure if this is too plain though.

"Just for you" seems like another multipurpose sentiment.  Never hurts to have those generic-but-fun cards on hand.  Ya nevah know. :)
I'm one the fence with this one.  It's pretty much why I posted this one last.  I went a little plain and I'm just not sure that it isn't too plain- well for me at least LOL!  Any suggestions to spice this one up would be most welcome!

Tablescape for One

So last time I posted to Tablescape Thursday I talked about not using my dishes.  So many of you were so encouraging that my husband and I have talked about having a date night and actually using those dishes.  What can I say, I'm caving to peer pressure. ;)  LOL!
My DH was away this weekend so I went to my fav grocery store.  I'm in the middle of orchard and small farm country so there's always good eats.  My total treat place is Idylwilde.  Think Whole Foods meets farmstand.  It's worth going just for the experience, nevermind the fab food.
The glass is a flea market fun find and the juice is fresh squeezed OJ.  Literally.  They used to do it right in front of you, but I think it got too hard to maintain in the middle of the store, but trust me this is legit.  My DH calls it liquid gold 'cause of the cost.  I say it's my treat and I don't waste a drop so no harm, no foul. :)  I watched the gal make the cider doughnut.  I wish blogland have smell-o-vision.  The sweet smell of this doughnut is, well, FANTASTIC!  The spinach wrap is holding sliced turkey with fresh spinach and tomato on a fun basic white Italian bisque plate.  The orange tulip bowl is holding organic peach yogurt (it has uber delicious cream in the top wen you open the container!!!).  The bowl was my grams.  She was going to pitch her multi-colored set of tulip bowls and I rescued them from certain dumpster doom. I have an avocado one, blue one, and gold one to go with this orange one.  Score me! :)

Are ya hungry yet?

I'm linking up my party of one over here:

You're My Most Favorite Thing!

It's Challenge Day over at Top Tip Tuesday.  Carol is leading the tip tut this week and we're all joining in the fun by making something Christmasy!
What can I say!  I adore hearing Julie Andrews sing My Favorite Things.  (Tom- SPOILER ALERT if you are reading this you need to scroll down to the next picture).  I think this is the card I will give my sweetie this year.  This may be the first Christmas that he gets a card on Christmas instead of the day after. LOL!
Funny how I keep making blue cards when it is my least favorite color!  But this image from Amuse is just so gorgeous in blue.  Huh, maybe blue isn't so bad. ;)
The pattern paper is an old BG line mounted on a blue pearl Bazzill paper.  The image is on that fabulous multifunctional swiss dot line by BB.  The image is Amuse with liquid pearl accents for the snow.  The sentiment is from MFT.  The fun button, ribbon, and bakers twine is from The Store.

I'm hoping to play favorites with my card here:
All Thingz Related- Crafts
Sugar Bee- Take a Look Tuesday
The Shabby Tea Room- Country Kitchen
Kitchen Sink Crew- Monocromatic
Fussy and Fancy Friday- Winter Wonderland
Mark's Finest Papers- Holiday Card
Moxie Fab World- A Study in Blue (using image below as trigger)

Make sure to stop by TTT for the challenge!  I can't wait to see what y'all create. :)

So Grateful

On Saturday I got to take a class with the uber talented Joanne Basile over at my LSS.  She's a DT member at My Favorite Things.  I've so wanted to take a class of hers but something kept coming up!  Well I finally made it to one of her classes and I made this Favorite Things card and two other really awesome cards (and then bought three kits to make more hee-hee).  I also got inspired to finish using up some of the supplies I got in the kit club kit I last month from my LSS.

So here's my take on Joanne's card using it as a sketch.  The papers were in my kit club kit and are from Fancy Pants Lilac House line, except the pink paper which is from a Memory Box card base.
The teapot image and diecut is from PTI.  The sentiment, frame and diecut are all part of this set from MFT.
So mine is on the left and Joanne's is on the right.  Whatcha think?

Thanks for stopping by today!  Who have you "lifted/cased/sketched" lately and how did it turn out?  Make sure to stop by tomorrow for the new TTT challenge! :)

I'm cooking up some fun with my grateful card here:
The Shabby Tea Room - Country Kitchen
Ellephantastic Challenges- Blue (the background paper)
4 Crafty Chicks- Roll with the Punches
Incy Wincy Designs- Anything Goes

Best Witches

One last hurrah for Halloween!  Hope you get lots of treats and no tricks. :)
This was a card that was easier in my head than on paper.  I smudged the first couple I tried.  The original idea was to fill all the circles with hats and only color the last one.  Way too bring IRL.
So I decided that I'd color all the hats and put the sentiment in the last circle.  It made for a pretty and sparkly card, but 10 minutes this was not!  LOL!
The spicas really do make it fun though.  ;)

Here are the deets:
card base- Amuse
image and sentiment- Papertrey Ink
coloring- Spica pens

Have a wicked good Halloween everyone!!!

Boo to You!

Just a quick Halloween card to get you pumped for candy day!
I used PTI stamps, Amuse card base, Spica pens and 10 minutes of "get-er-done" time. :)  Enjoy!

Thank you for the thank you!

Over the summer I offered some blog candy.  The lucky winner was Weird Cat and she was sweet enough to send a thank you card made from some of the candy she got. :)
How talented is she!!!!  Uber glad she got the goodies and showed me what could be done with them.  Sometimes it really helps to have a fresh pair of eyes. :)  This is just so beautiful!
I *heart* mail from what I consider exotic places, which is anything outside of the continental US and any island that isn't a borough of NYC (Sorry NYC I'm from Upstate NY. NYC just isn't exotic to me.)  So getting mail from abroad was awesome!!!  Thanks again to WeirdCat!  You really made my day.  Sorry I took so long to volley the thanks back.
