Carrots for Sale

A few cute Easter cards to share today.  These are 4.25"x 4.25" cards using an old Amuse image.  It's such a fun image to color because it is quick to bring to life.  He's such a happy carrot seller!

I'm trying to get some Easter goodies made to send to family (and to load into my Etsy shop).  I may use this same general format for an upcoming card swap gathering.  Each person is supposed to bring the goods for 8-10 folks to be able to make a card.  It has to be a fairly simple card because, like a cookie swap, we all walk away with 8-10 new cards.  Unlike a cookie swap though, you make the cards at the party- hence the has to be fairly easy to assemble.  You don't want your card to be the one that causes a log-jam and slows everyone else down!

What about you?  Any fun plans coming up?

Nuts & Bolts Love

Thought I would share another version of my Valentine Card Kits.  This time I have a robot version!  My hubby likes this one because it combines a corny saying with an engineering-ish image. ;-)

This creation was something I had thought about putting together, but hadn't gotten around to it until I had an Etsy customer request something more boy-ish.  Have I mentioned how much I really do adore my Etsy customers?!?!  They really are an inspiring group! The deadlines they create don't hurt my productivity either. LOL!  Am I the only one who actually likes deadlines?

These are flat front valentines which is great for production, but stressful when you have to stamp the sentiments in two separate steps.  Lots of room for an "oops"!

Hope this has inspired you to play Cupid with some cards this Valentine's Day!  What are you going to create?  Please share it with me.  I'd love to see what you make!!!

Happy Valentine's Cupcake

I was scrolling through my blog and don't think I ever shared these!  This is one of the kits that kept me busy last winter.  Which wasn't a bad thing considering how much snow we got and how many snow days I had last year!

These went all over.  California for a tea party, Pennsylvania for a 2nd graders valentines, Texas, and a bunch of other places I am forgetting right now.  One gal used the watercolor version to make cards for her coworkers.  Love my Etsy customers!  I wouldn't have thought anyone but kids would like these and I'm so happy to find out how wrong I was!!

Two options for the DIY Cupcake Valentine Kits are just cupcakes to make, but two versions also include 2 teacher cards that I make with big layered cupcakes.  Anywho, thanks for taking a peek at another valentine throwback!

Two Holidays Together

Each February we have Curious Cupid at work (think Secret Santa but in February). There are a lot of us who look forward to this as a fun way to make it through the typically snowy month, but this year we had so many snow days we had to cancel it! To make up for it we had a one day "Lucky Leprechaun" gift exchange. This was my haul for the day. Lots of goodies to make Irish coffee, sweet treats, a pretty basket, and fun bling to wear for the day. 😏

I just sent out a big Etsy order for Easter. The gal ordering wanted boxes of cards for the teachers at her child's preschool. The two classroom teachers each get the big boxes with either the apple or books, the chapel teacher is getting the box with the church tag, and the music teacher is getting the one with the music note. I hope everyone enjoys their cards!

It has been bitter cold here, so these cards are helping me try to get into s springtime mindset!

Going Golfing (on Paper Anyway)

Happy Friday Everyone!  I've been meaning to share some pics of the golf cart birthday cards I made a week back.  150 cards.  Yup!  150!!!

I was so excited when I finished that I forgot to get pics of them all on spread out on the table.  Ugh!  At least I remembered before I packaged them up for delivery. :)

Pretty much most all of them are different.  If they used the same papers I tried to change the layout a little or add a different colored golf cart.

These happy little carts headed down to Miami to be gifted to the many folks working at a chain of golf cart stores. :)  Lucky carts!  Warm weather (well sorta these days) and palm trees.  Living the life. :)

I hope the recipients of these paper carts smile when they open their envelopes.  The carts all made me smile. Especially when they were all finished. :)

Well all of you who are in a region like me that is cold right now, just think in about 60-70 days it will be (hopefully) the beginning of golfing weather!!!

Have a great Friday!!

Mommy Advice Book

Back in May I made this Mommy Advice Book for a gal who was throwing her sister a baby shower.  She was looking for something that she could give each guest a page for a picture and a spot for advice for the new mom.

The color palette she wanted was so pretty, it made my job soooo easy!  The book was made using card bases and my Zutter.  Then I got to make all the pages happy with pattern papers and just a little embellishment.  I knew she would need space for the photos and that once they were in the book the pages could be too overwhelming if there were lots of embellishments.  Since I used cards they automatically created pockets that could hold tags.

Each pocket could easily hold 2 tags (1 for each guest on either side of the card) for adding words of wisdom.  I made them all different and thought then each guest could pick the one they wanted since everything coordinated with the book pages.

She also ordered a banner kit to hang at the shower.  I got all the supplies together for her to make the banner to celebrate the arrival of her new niece.  I'm thrilled to say she loved everything.  I hope her sister did too and that the album gives her comfort in the hectic/wonderful/emotional years ahead! :)

Have a great weekend!

Strawberry Sunday

A while back I made a strawberry note card set and coordinating box.  This weekend I busted up the set.  Why?  I got on a cleaning kick and found some goodies I forgot I had!  They begged to be played with and the final products made me reshuffle.  Totally loving that it happened!!
So this is the original box.  The paper makes me thirsty for pink lemonade- really funny when you think about how far it is from pink lemonade season (temp-wise anyway).  :)
These are the cards that were in the box.  They make me think of a romantic picnic-y kinda afternoon.
The clean up revealed the buttons and ruffled ribbon.  Which led to the idea of strawberries.  Which led to tags.  Eeek!  These are sooo stinkin' cute!  I needed a container, so they landed in the box. :)
So now I had homeless cards!  Well more cleaning led to the discovery of the canvas flower, bling, and pink sticky note pad.  Then I remembered the other strawberry stamp with the basket.  Then I was inspired to make a sticky note pad that could go with the homeless cards.  Kinda keep them company for a bit.  I had a new pen left over from another project to join them in their house hunting.
In the end everyone ended up in a clear acetate box.  Makes for a beautiful view don'cha think?  Well, if you like what you see, you can head to my shoppe to make the tags or the cards your own! :)

I've cleaned the strawberry juice from my chin long enough to head here:

Grow Your Blog Day!

Today is Grow Your Blog Day!  Super awesome Vicki, over at 2 Bags Full, is our hostess for this fabulous blog hop.  Thanks Vicki!!!  Her idea was to have a big "Meet and Greet" for fellow bloggers so we could get a chance to find out about each other's blogs.
One of the suggestions Vicki gave to all of us was to take a moment to introduce ourselves, so here goes. :)  I'm a part-time Reading Specialist who works with Kindergarten and first grade students in MA.  It's a pretty great gig 'cause I get to help kiddos learn to read and, hopefully, also love to read. :)  When I'm not teaching kiddos how to read, I'm teaching adults papercrafting at my favorite store Ink About It and creating cards, tags, and scrapbook albums.
In prepping for Valentine's Day I've begun working on valentines for kids and adults.  The teachers and staff celebrate Curious Cupid (think Secret Santa valentine-style).  So it is a pretty big deal to have mini goodies ready for the big day!
I live in MA with my amazing husband (anyone who can deal with me day in and day out and still smile has to be amazing), our Corgi, Cad, (read about his whole ordeal here) and our Tabby, Amy, with the softest fur on the planet!  DH and I have been married for 11 years, although really we've been together for something like 18 years.
Well I've been rambling on!  I'll stop here so you can roam around my blog and visit all the other blogs. ;)  If you leave a comment below, you'll be entered to win your own set of 11 different cards (like the listing here).  If you are a follower mention that too and I'll enter your name again!  If you "like" my Etsy store on Facebook (look under that Actions section), let me know in the comments and that will get your name entered again too!  So you've got 3 different chances to win. :)  Oh and I'll draw a name on Groundhog Day! :) (That's Feb 2nd)

Happy Saturday!

Better Than Mail

I've been on a mini album kick lately.  This one seems a perfect launch for today since we are headed for our vaca in ME!  Cad is coming with us, but Amy is staying home with the sitter. :)
It's just a little bitty album, fun for sharing a couple shots of summer beach fun. :)
Aren't summer papers so yummy!!!!
This could be your album!  I'm loading it into my Etsy store soon. Be sure to stop by! :)

Cleaning leads to kits

Well, how happy am I to have had all of you stop by Top Tip Tuesday to take the tour!  Thank so much for your visit!!!  I have way more pictures and hope to post more pictures next Tuesday right here on my blog.  In the meantime, look what all that cleaning has produced. :)
All that cleaning lead to the discovery that I have many more projects than time right now.  So, to ease my panic, I made some kits using goodies I had set aside.
The good news is that these goodie have been loaded in my Etsy shop for sale to a good home. :)
