Need a little beachtime now

Coupla quick shots of beautiful St. John's.  Pictures really can't do it justice.  We're already trying to figure out how quickly we can get back.
I've gotta spend some time sorting through all the photographs.  I've even got an scrapbook ready to for pictures!!!  When I get it all together I'll take more photographs to post here. LOL!!
Didn't want to leave you without something crafty...  Peeky, peeky, more to see-see later. ;)

Keep the faith- Monday is almost over!

Paying Wellness Forward

Where does the week go?!?!  We got back a week ago Saturday, got ready to rejoin the working world, I blinked and it was Friday!
This past Friday there was a crafty fundraiser at my LSS to raise money for one of the gals who works there.  Her husband has Leukemia and, as anyone who has had any need for medical treatment knows, the bills are expensive.
These are a couple of the cards I got done while I was there.  What was super exciting was to have a chance to catch up with lots of gals and find out that the treatment is working. :)

Hope things are well with all of you out in the blog-o-sphere.  Keep calm and brace for Monday 'cause she's a comin'!! :)

Need a little Christmas now

Christmas post for y'all today.  Happy to report that steady progress is being made on the CC front and spirits are high!  If all this productivity can be maintained, it's possible that I could be that overachiever friend who sends their cards out Thanksgiving weekend! LOL!!!
The Craft In last week was put to good use!  I had all the parts for these cards ready, but just hadn't gotten around to putting everything together.
6 more cards ready for holiday cheer!  I couldn't help but coordinate the envies.  Gotta give the mail carrier something to smile about too ya know.
Dies and image are from PTI, the paper is from the stash, the card base is MB, and the copics used are- honestly I forget right now.  I promise to update with the copics when I get back from vaca. :)

A Beautiful Day

Got a trio to share today!  Trying to make layered cards that are still on the flat side for easy mailing.  Ooooh it is hard.  I still want to add more stuff!

These card used the provisions included in this kit.  The dies and sentiment are from MFT- the kraft scallop is a border punch.

Made it to mid-week!  Make sure you have a beautiful Wednesday. :)

Happy Tuesday!  Just a quick one-carder kinda post today using some bits 'n pieces from this kit.  I haven't gotten to the February or March kits yet and it is almost time to get our April kit.  Eeeek!  I had the chance to see what is likely in the April kit.  I'm definitely going to get to that one first. :)
The green die cut uses a PTI die.  The giant doily is MFT.  The stamps are from MFT and come with the coordinating die too.  A friend of mine came to Craft In last week and was oooing and ahhhhing over the shape.  We ended up getting out the MFT catalog and ordering more "must haves".  Stay tuned to see what goodies come to live with me. LOL!

Stop by on Wednesday to see what else I made with this color combo! :)

Dinner- Sunday Style

So it's been a week since Easter, but this card was sooooo cute and dinner was soooo tasty, they were both begging to be shared!
Aunt Pat made THE MOST AMAZING sweet potato rolls we've ever had.  Their debut was at this dinner and we all agreed they need to become a staple at future dinners. :)
All yummy dinners begin with fruit cups at family gathering dinners.  Here they are before they got their sherbet topping.  It is such a treat to have fruit and sherbet before you even get to dinner- like having dessert first.  Mmmmmm!
The table before we sat down.  Somehow a meal can be even tastier when it is eaten at a pretty table.  It doesn't hurt that the table was at Aunt Pat's house up in Maine either. ;)
This fun card used more scraps that were on my table, so I'm not exactly sure what papers these are. ;P  Pretty sure there is some Crate Paper and Basic Grey.  The image and sentiment are from My Favorite Things and the card base is Memory Box.

I'm on my way to St. John USVI!!!  I have a few posts coming up over the week and I am looking forward to catching up on everyone else's posts as I relax on the beach.

More Calorie Free Goodies

Got another fry box to share tonight.  The box was made ages ago and then after I made this set I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep when Eureka hit.  Light Springy colors, with this image, a perfect combo with the box!

*sniff, sniff*  The cards today are using that fun set of goodies from the secretary we are losing.  Friday is probably our last day with 2 secretaries.  I have no idea how the other gal is going to survive on her own.  Can you image handling the questions of Kindergarten and first grade parents, Kindergarten and first grade teachers, and Kindergarten and fist grade students- ALL BY YOURSELF?!?!?  We're talking ~400+ students.  She does all the bus routes, student records, CORI forms, absences, early pick-ups, late arrivals, supply orders- in short the secretaries make everyone's life easier.  It's just so sad and disappointing. :(
The stamps are from an SU set she gave me.  Not sure the name (if any of you know could you share?).  The card base is Amuse, the scallop die is from MFT, and the mat under the image is BG Sweet Threads- love me some BG!!  The Copics I used to "color" the image are BG11, YG03, RV13, and RV32.

I have a fun share from my students.  The schedule has been so hit and miss with testing that when I got to see different groups for their regular lesson most of them were actually BEGGING FOR NEW  BOOKS!  One group actually CHEERED when, after they got new books, I told them they could bring them home to READ FOR HOMEWORK!!!!  You would have thought I was handing out candy and Disney tickets.  Totally made my day. :)

Oooo, another made-my-day there was a last minute cancellation at the Craft In that my LSS hosts!!!  So I am scrambling to get my goodies together and get me some stuff done Friday night. :)  Am I packed for vacation next week?  Nope.  Am I flying out early Sunday morning?  Yup.  Am I gonna be scrambling all day Saturday?  Totally! That's what vaca is all about though isn't it?  Rushing around like a chicken with it's head cut off until you get where you are going and then just sitting on the beach relaxing.

Hugs!

Box of Posies

Remember how I said that one of the secretaries at my school gave me bunch of crafty goodies way back in the winter?  Remember how I said that I still haven't given her a thank you?  She's LEAVING!!!!  Her position got cut from our budget for next year.  I really don't know how we are going to get along with only one secretary and I feel so bad for the gal who will be running everything all alone!
Luckily the gal who is leaving got a job in another school.  There is a secretary who is retiring over vacation week (next week), which is great- BUT that means we are losing a secretary now!!!  It also means I need to make sure to give her a little thank you before she heads off to the other school. :)  This little card set makes me think of her cause it is such happy colors!
The box is Bazzill orange as a base make the same as this one.  The cards are stamped with a Penny Black image on the SU cardstock she had given me as part of the goodie bag.  The images are colored with the copics above- the one you can't read is Y07.  The colored image is mounted it on MME Bloom and Grow paper- I used the scraps to make this.

***Edit I gave it to her this morning and she LOVED it!!! :)

I've boxed this set and headed here:

Orange You Glad

It's Friday!  No school today so I'm enjoying a cuppa while I surf blogland. :)  Thought I'd share a pretty bouquet and card that kinda coordinates.  Think I am on an orange kick lately.
A couple weeks ago a friend and I took a MFT class from this great gal Katie.  One of the stamps we used was this little bunny- Sooooooo uber cute!  Of course she had come home with me to join my other MFT stamps. :)
Remember that box o' cherries set?  Well there is an orange one in the works (sneak peek below) and some scraps were hanging out on my table.  Those little pieces (MME Bloom and Grow "grow") were already cut in such fun widths and patterns!  Mounted on the kraft card base, they made for a fun backdrop for the orange bunny (MME Fine and Dandy "tickled pink" 6x6 pad).  Bunny was pop dotted and mounted on a rectangle of green/white patterned paper (We R Memory Keepers-Cotton Tail)
I adore hyacinths, but you forget how potent they are!  This bouquet is downstairs in the powder room and I can smell it all the way upstairs whilst I am in bed!!!
Here is the sneaky-peeky of the orange box set I am working on.  More finished pics coming next week!

I've hippity-hopped here with this creation:

Ladybug, ladybug & Pictures

Well I think I probably am making the whole uploading thing a longer process than it needs to be.  For now though the steps I am taking are keeping me from having to pay to upload my pics. *sigh of relief*  Tell me again how technology is saving me time. LOL!
This little lady was colored at the last Craft In at my LSS.  She's so stinkin' cheerful I can't help but smile looking at her!  Yeah I guess that wasn't my most humble statement huh?  Seriously though- look at her!  How can you not smile?

Okay so I might be a little punchy right now.  My students took the first part of the 26 page standardized test they have to undergo this spring and I peeked at their progress.  A bunch of them ROCKED the first part!!!!  I am absolutely giddy for them.  They have worked so hard this year and they were all so nervous.  We've been practicing for 3 weeks so they wouldn't have butterflies and it looks like it has paid off.  I told them all that I can't wait to get the results to share with them and their parents.  It's so exciting to see all that hard work come to fruition for these kiddos.  They usually feel kinda down on themselves 'cause school is so hard for them.  It's going to be so wonderful for them to feel that the hard work has made a difference!  Keep your fingers crossed for the 2nd half to go as well! :)

Hippity Hop & Blogger UGH

Hi Folks!  This may, be my last post for a bit. I've gotta get my act together about how to shrink my photo pixel size so I can keep my storage limits from going over. :(  In the meantime, here's a fun Easter creation...
Hee, hee this little fella is so cute hanging out in the flowers!  The brads are all from my stash.. Butterflies, chocolate bunnies, pearls, and flocked flowers- so much fun. :)  Cottontail got some glossy accents added to show 'em off.
There's a few flowers with good ole' Stickles centers.  The bunny paper is from We R Memory Keepers and Cottontail is framed with Bazzill paper die cut with a PTI die.  The whole shebang is mounted on a Memory Box card base.

Keep your fingers crossed that I can get my blogger photo act together! :) ***Edit- Think I've figured out what to do.  Tune in later to see if it worked!
