Looking towards June

Here's another card set I made from that October kit way back.  :)  Thought these might make good guy cards or cards for someone outdoorsy.
I totally credit Joanne over at ...just a little something... for the inspiration.  I took a couple classes from her a while back and she uses lots of fun layers with tight borders.  LOVE IT!
Here's a closer view of those layers 'n borders and of the, of course, stamped envies.  Thought the rustic pines was just the right touch for these Maine inspired cards. :)
Here it is all packaged.  Man that was a useful kit!  I've got a new one that I am dying to get a chance to use AND I just ordered one from The Paper Bakery.  Big plans for the December break- we'll see how far I get though. LOL!

So what are your plans for after the 25th? :)

Anytime tags

Last post related to this kit for a bit I promise.  I only have two other cards made from it anyway. Hee-hee!  I wanted to share these though 'cause I haven't yet photographed the PTI group tags from 2 weeks ago. *hanging head in slacker shame*
This color combo screams hipster Autumn to me.  Proud of myself for going with it 'cause that isn't usually a neighborhood I know how to get to. :)  Hope I can find my way back again!
The dies are all PTI, the image is Memory Box, papers from Kaiserkraft & Bazzill, brown Stickles, and Versamark chalk ink oasis green- which is a perfect match to the Bazzill paper!

Do you have any gift giving plans around the corner? No, you can't count Christmas/Hannukah/Kwanzaa! :)

'til Next Season Maine

We are closing the cottage for the winter today. :(  In tribute I have some kit cards featuring a lighthouse.  See the teeny bit of sparkle where the light in the house is?
Honestly it is always a sad time because we get to see so much family when we are up in Maine, but then again it makes May an exciting month because we get to open the cottage for the summer!   This particular lighthouse is nostalgic for me because it is the one a group of friends and I used to make save-the-date cards for a teacher friend's wedding a couple years ago.  She got engaged at Nubble Lighthouse.  Ahhhhh :)
Nekkid envies- NEVER! LOL! (My mom used to joke about crafty things being nekkid- instead of naked)  The inside is nekkid though.  Can't decide if I should wrap these up as a set, or turn them into guy cards.  Whatcha' think?

Thoughts and Prayers

Still pestering posting creations made with the kit.  I put everything I made in a basket and dropped it off at my LSS so the gal who put the kit together could know how useful this kit has been for me!  Hopefully the Kit Club gang liked my goods. :)

Have I mentioned that folks kinda gave her a hard time?  Not sure I would have purchased these papers on my own, but gosh I used almost all of the kit and put a decent dent into my stash as well.  This latest piece I'm showing y'all is a sympathy card.  Usually folks don't keep them on hand necessarily, but I find that if I make them when my mojo is flowing then I have them.  Sometimes I freeze when I have to make a sympathy card- and when you need it made, frankly you need it made.
This one used the Kaisercraft kit, a Memory Box Eucalyptus base, BG scraps from the Life of the Party line, and dies from PTI & MFT.  The sentiment is one I dusted off from Stampendous.

What helps you create sympathy cards?  Do you have a "go-to"?

Layers 'n Tags

It's Tuesday, so that means it is Top Tip Tuesday time!  This week the challenge is to "layer it up".  I've got more tags and more goods from that kit I've created with this past month.
All the papers 'n tags are from Kaiser and the papers were die cut using PTI dies.  I added a touch more spice to the right side of the orange paper by stamping it with a branch stamp from Memory Box.  The glitter on the cardboard part of the tag is Tim Holtz distress Stickles.  That way the glitter stays put- not that I mind a little glitter on me-self. ;)
Here's the whole lot together.  Seemed like if I had the stuff, I might as well make as many as I could.  What'cha gonna make for the layering challenge?

If you play along you could win...

$10 voucher

or
A free stamp & goodie bag

So get those layers piled on and join us in this week's fun challenge!
