Wash That Man Right Outta My Hare!

I crack me up!  This weeks challenge at Cooking It Up With Katie has us using 3 designer papers, 1 clear item, and a song.  The papers are easy you can see three on the card.  The clear- that doesn't show up as well.  I used a gel pen to add some clear dimension to the soap bubbles.  The song, well I couldn't help myself.  As soon as I saw this image that Whimsy Stamps (our sponsor this week) provided that song from South Pacific popped into my head!!!  Join us in the challenge won't you?

Thanks for stopping by!  May you have a bubbly day!

Cooking It Up Challenge

Cooking It Up With Katie is hosting a fella challenge!  We've got a recipe in store for you and we wanna see a card made with a boy in mind.
Pixie Dust Studios is our sponsor this week and they gave each of us on the DT a chance to place with of of their images.  I thought this cute and cuddly fella was just perfect for a baby boy card.  I'll be honest.  I totally thought the water at the base of the barrel boat was grass! LOL!  It just seemed like pretend playing in the yard to me.  I'm already "outside the box" with my colors for a "new baby" card so consider it more "outside the box" thinking on an image.  :)  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
.
So here's the challenge.  Make a card using a plaid/gingham/check pattern, add some brown, and keep a boy in mind.  Do all of that and you're eligible to add your card to the challenge for a chance to win goodies from our sponsor Pixie Dust Studios.
So I used an amazing number of Copics to make this image, but I'm wicked excited with how it all worked!  Big thanks to my MIL and FIL for my early birthday gift of a BUNCH of Copics for coloring hair and fur!  I totally couldn't have made this bear without my E17, E18, and E19.  In addition to those 3 markers, I also used E33, E35, E39, B00, B02, B05, R81, R83, YG11, YG13, YG17, YR12, YR15, YR18, YR23, YR24, Y23, Y26.  Whew!  Come join us for some good boy, bad boy, little boy, big boy fun.  Let me know if you enter this challenge.  I'd love to check out your creation!

Pink & Flowers & Squares

It's challenge day at Cooking It Up With Katie and this week and it's a good one!  You can make any kind of card you like, but you must incorporate pink, flowers, and squares.  I got sneaky with my card.  Can you figure out how I got all three parts incorporated?
With the start of school right around the corner, colds and sniffles are sure to follow.  I'm getting a head start on my stash of Get Well cards!

This little giraffe with the sparkly scarf is from Digi Doodles.  Wanna chance to own this cutie for free?  Head over and join in the fun at Cooking It Up With Katie  and you could have the chance to win $10 to spend at the Digi Doodles store!

Princess Bianca

I'm back from The Cape and have a fun card to share on Challenge Day at Cooking It Up With Katie. :)
Yippee!  It's Challenge Day at Cooking It Up With Katie!  This week our challenge is blue, buttons and bows and it's sponsored by Fairy Knoll.  I made and easel card (I've gotten so addicted to these!), but you can make any kind of paper creation.
I took some liberty with the blue and went with more of an aqua blue because this blue and orange paper just spoke to me.  Birthday cards are something I can always use and this would make such a cute card for a little princess. ;)  I colored Bianca with my copics and used a sentiment from Amuse.

Come join the fun at Cooking It Up With Katie!  I've joined the fun at the following places:
Stamp Something
Stampavie and more
Craftalicious Challenges
One Stitch At A Time
S2G Challenges

Sunshiny Day

This is a wicked quick post today as I am up in Maine with my Gram Ahboo enjoying a little downtime.  My heavens but it has been HOT, HOT, HOT up here in New England!  Here's some sunshine in the form of 3 sunflowers to share with anyone who hasn't been getting any of there own. :)
This card is my debut with the Cooking It Up With Katie Design Team!  This challenge (number 21) is looking for brave folks (LOL) to create a yellow card using real/faux stitching and a sketch from another challenge  blog.  This challenge is sponsored by Meljens, maker of the faboo sunflower image I used on this card. :)  You could win 4 digi's from Meljens if you enter your work this week.

So what do you say?  Are you going to join in the fun?  Hope over to Cooking It Up With Katie and link up your creation.  Stop back here and let me know if you post.  I'd love to drop by, scope out your creation, and leave you some blog love.
