Hot and Cold

Some exciting news! I've been published along with my fellow SSDS DT mates!!!  ScrapStreet Magazine (an ezine) published a spread on us here under the title Blog Bay.  The theme we were presented was "Heat Wave".  Here's a peek at what I made...
I thought these hot peppers would help anyone have a heat wave whenever they want.  LOL!  Little did I know when I made this card that we would be experiencing such a hot summer.  The jam is one made by the Jammin in the Kitchen crew for our Country Fair (more on that later this month).

So that's the hot, what's the cold?  Well it is a shameless plug for my friend Cindy.  She published her first book!!!!!!
I got the chance to go to one of her author readings a little while back and am excited to read this book (I had to wait for my husband to finish it first- he loved it BTW).  It's a compilation of short stories that concludes with a novella involving all the characters from the previous short stories.  You can check out more on this book here and you can purchase it here

So that's my two cents for Thursday. :)  I'm off to buy some more goodies to add to the blog candy!  I awoke this morning to find 52 followers.  I am so tickled, humbled, amazed that so many of you from so many cool places around the globe stop by my li'l ole blog.  THANKS and HUGS to all of you.  Don't forget to leave a comment on the blog candy post and put a link to the candy on your blog to be eligible.  I will ship this candy ANYWHERE (on Earth).

I ran this card up the flag pole here:
CCCB- Yummy
Dutch Dare- Anything Goes
The Pink Elephant- Yummy
