Two Holidays Together

Each February we have Curious Cupid at work (think Secret Santa but in February). There are a lot of us who look forward to this as a fun way to make it through the typically snowy month, but this year we had so many snow days we had to cancel it! To make up for it we had a one day "Lucky Leprechaun" gift exchange. This was my haul for the day. Lots of goodies to make Irish coffee, sweet treats, a pretty basket, and fun bling to wear for the day. 😏

I just sent out a big Etsy order for Easter. The gal ordering wanted boxes of cards for the teachers at her child's preschool. The two classroom teachers each get the big boxes with either the apple or books, the chapel teacher is getting the box with the church tag, and the music teacher is getting the one with the music note. I hope everyone enjoys their cards!

It has been bitter cold here, so these cards are helping me try to get into s springtime mindset!

Gift Tag Tuesday Part 4

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I know, I know these aren't St. Paddy's items, but they are kinda green. That counts, right?

Welcome to Week 4 of Gift Tag Tuesday!  Today I am sharing yet another set of tags created with the help of my cricut.  Why so many tags you ask?  Every year I bring in a basket of tags to sell to my co-workers.  I always think they won't want them, but each year I have people ask, so I've gotten a head start on making things this year.  I figure whatever I don't sell at work, or on Etsy, I'll end up using myself so it all works out in the end. :)

The "to/from" is from my FAVORITE Avery Elle.  Totally awesome set that includes a laurel wreath, thank you, merry Christmas (see if you can spot it in an upcoming post...), and a few other sentiments in that lusciously beautiful font.

Thinking Bouquets

Good Morning!  I've been very busy in my studio, but haven't had much time to photograph anything.  Maybe I'll manage to carve out time this week to take some pics, but in the meantime I have a pair of thinking of you cards to share.

One went to Arizona and one to Texas thanks to Etsy.  I had fun making them since it meant seeing flowers.  I'm not sure we will ever see flowers again here in New England.  We had some beautiful weather last Tuesday and Wednesday with lots of melting taking place.  Cida was very sad to have to go back on his leash in the yard.  There had been sooooooo much snow he was kinda trapped in the maze we carved out of the snow, but enough melted that a certain puppy wandered a little too far away.  His teacher said we should not expect to be able to have him off leash until he is over a year.  It is so strange after having Cad, who never needed a leash!  Alas, Ci is getting better each day at listening and has only chewed one pair of slippers in 10 months so can I really complain about a leash? Nope.

A couple inches fell yesterday, so it is now official that this was the snowiest winter in Boston history.  108 inches!!!  Hence the fear we will never see flowers again.  I've said before that I don't much care for blue, but I may have to change my tune.  I have found myself more and more pinning and making "blue stuff".  I even bought light blue nail polish to paint my toes for our vacation in April.  I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em!  LOL!

If you want to see more versions of this stamp on a card, or the big Gerber daisy stamp I adore, or even a cute preprinted image I played with that is a daisy, click on the "daisy" label at the end of this post.  I had fun tracking down all my daisy images from "my posts of yesterday".  I've inspired myself with my old stuff!

Well, I'm thinking of all of you out there today and wishing you a productive Monday!

Gift Tag Tuesday Part 3

Welcome to Week 3 of my self imposed Gift Tag Tuesday!  Today I am sharing my most favorite tags so far.  While it is hard to tell, they are mini parcel tags, so cute!  It must be because I'm short, but I adore mini versions of things.  Mini cupcakes, mini staplers, mini notepads, mini Cadbury cream eggs.  NOT mini peanut butter cups though.  Not enough filling to taste right. LOL!

These tags were once again a combo of office tags and my handy cricut.  The stamps are Amuse (snowflake), red dots (from rubber stamp tapestry), and warm wishes sentiment (PTI).  I edged everything with more brown ink to give the tags an even more rustic cabin Christmas feeling.  LOVE THESE!!!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Gift Tag Tuesday Part 2

Happy Gift Tag Tuesday!  Hope this week finds you all well!

Today I thought I would share another crowd pleaser.  I've made bunches of different versions of this reindeer tag in the past.  He has been aqua, brown, and, just like today, red.  As I write this I think he might be pretty cool in navy or lilac.  I have some fun non-traditional Christmas papers that might just work with this fella!  Stay tuned to see if I can get it in gear and make that happen. :)

Once again, I used the circuit to cut the green paper, the white tags are office tags, and I added some bling to the reindeer with Stickles on his nose. :). Tags always look cuter with bakers twine and this is a Christmas combo version that I bought and am proud to be using rather than hoarding!  I have such a hard time using my supplies sometimes.  I'm always wondering if I could be using the goods on something "better" but then if they never get used... It's best to take the plunge, right?

What's been the hardest "thing" from your stash to use, or are you still holding on to? :-)

Lighthouse Sympathy

Thought I would share a couple sympathy cards today.  A customer wanted a few to have on hand and these are a couple that I made.  This is a favorite go-to image for me.  It can work for sympathy, fathers day, guy cards, thinking of you, or even thank you.
I went with a simple palette here.  The photos don't show it well, but the lighthouse is lightly colored with a very pale aqua.  The lighthouse light has a light yellow with some yellow Spica for a glow.  The last two months I spent a TON of time making and mailing out valentine kits.  The way I had to cut paper for them left a lot of Kraft scraps that I used to die cut the little doilies (MFT die).  One of my Etsy buddies in Bavaria and I traded some goodies around the holidays.  Her package had wonderful vintage buttoned that I used to make the gray button/doily embellishment. :)

Well, I'm off to the races!  Hope you have a great Monday!
