This is one of my favorite times of the year, in spite of the fact I don't like the cold that much. What can I say? I'm a complex woman. LOL! When the weather changes it's fun to get out those sweaters 'n sneakers. Cozy! Heat up apple cider with some mulling spices. Yum! Decorate for fall. Pretty! Rake leaves. NOT! :) Well today I thought I'd share a card I made this summer while I was in a
This is one of my favorite Impression Obsession images. I've made a bazillion cards using this image, although now that I think about it I've only colored it as flint corn, not sweet corn. Hmmm. Wonder how it will look colored in to look like sun and stars corn? I'm getting hungry!
I love how the grey makes the image pop a little more. **Stepping on to my soapbox** I've heard from a few friends that this type of "shadowing" (outlining with gray) is considered declasse by some coloring purists. Whatever. Pretty is pretty and I like this look. :) Also it's an easy way to umph up. That being said it is a look that could get overdone. But long story short, to each his own. **Stepping off soapbox**
So any big plans for the week? My goal is to get 2 or 3 more posts up this week. Fingers crossed!
I like the grey outlining, too, I do it (and with BG10). Good for you for doing what you like even though others criticize! I love this corn, it really reminds me of fall, especially since its Indian corn :) The green doily is the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteI always think it's interesting that people think there is a 'proper' way to do art. Sucks all the fun out of it if you ask me!! I don't have a background in art, but thoroughly enjoy the process and while I may not be an expert, I know what I like. Having said this, I really like this effect!
ReplyDeleteYour corn is the perfect image for your fall blog post and I agree that you should try this as a sweet corn as well!
