I know I have been MIA lately, I'm busy whipping up some new fun stuff I promise. :) In the meantime, I wanted to share a couple pics from the Chihuly exhibit I got to check out at the Boston MFA.
Tom's job had an event at the MFA and we all got the chance to dress up and pretend to be bigshots for the night. :) The Chihuly exhibit was the highlight because, well, it's such a beautiful exhibit and the crowds were much smaller than usual.
My pics aren't the best and I have to say if you get the chance to see anything Chihuly, go for it! His work is so striking and inspirational.
It's like walking into a Dr. Seuss story. :) Looking at how the "chandelier" pieces are assembled, it must take hours to put each one together. There are literally hundreds of individual pieces making up those spiky creations.
Even if you don't live near Boston check out Chihuly here at Wikipedia for a list of all his permanent collections. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. :)
