One last hurrah for Halloween! Hope you get lots of treats and no tricks. :)
This was a card that was easier in my head than on paper. I smudged the first couple I tried. The original idea was to fill all the circles with hats and only color the last one. Way too bring IRL.
So I decided that I'd color all the hats and put the sentiment in the last circle. It made for a pretty and sparkly card, but 10 minutes this was not! LOL!
The spicas really do make it fun though. ;)
Here are the deets:
card base- Amuse
image and sentiment- Papertrey Ink
coloring- Spica pens
Have a wicked good Halloween everyone!!!

Thank you for the thank you!
Over the summer I offered some blog candy. The lucky winner was Weird Cat and she was sweet enough to send a thank you card made from some of the candy she got. :)
How talented is she!!!! Uber glad she got the goodies and showed me what could be done with them. Sometimes it really helps to have a fresh pair of eyes. :) This is just so beautiful!
I *heart* mail from what I consider exotic places, which is anything outside of the continental US and any island that isn't a borough of NYC (Sorry NYC I'm from Upstate NY. NYC just isn't exotic to me.) So getting mail from abroad was awesome!!! Thanks again to WeirdCat! You really made my day. Sorry I took so long to volley the thanks back.

A Harvest Table
So for a while now I have been stalking the Tablescape Thursday posts at Between Naps on the Porch. Looking at all those pretty table settings. ahhhh. Ya know I've been to Biltmore a couple of times and my favorite part is the kitchen and butlers pantry tour. It's not 'cause I want to work in it. I just want to get served food on beautiful dishes. :)
I mention all of this because this is my first entry over at Tablescape Thursdays. I managed to get my table decorated on Columbus Day and got to talking to my DH about all the pretty pictures at TT. He said, "well why don't you put out the good china". Huh. He was on to something! It looks really pretty. We never use these dishes though. We inherited our good china and it's edged in gold so it all has to be hand washed. Yup, hand washed. I know me and that's just not gonna happen. LOL!
I couldn't just set the table and not add place cards!!! I went with chocolate covered apples, mostly because I LOVE chocolate. :) I used PTI's Friendship Jar Fillers. I used Copics to color the apples and then mounted them on 2 different Bo Bunny papers. I didn't put any names on since I haven;t decided when to use these fun little babies yet! Hee-hee!
Hope you enjoyed this little interlude. :)
The table is set and the goodies blogged and photoed in this post are dining here:

The Shabby Tea Room- Chocolate covered autumn

The Shoemakers Kids...
I'm going to come clean, *deep breath*, I don't always remember everyone's birthday. Phew! That was a weight off my chest. Honestly, the first week of October I managed to miss my beloved nephew Jack's (of snowman fame) special day, my friend Lynn's (of earring fame), my aunt's birthday, my husband's aunt and uncle's anniversary and I still haven't made it up to all of them yet!!! I can at least say that I got something for Lynn and Jack. Lynn even got her goodies too (yours are coming Jack, I promise).
I was up in Portland, Maine last weekend (totally beautiful weather BTW) and stopped at this fabulous little kitchen supply boutique. They sell all kinds of flavored vinegars, olive oils, and bbq sauce. YUM! I got Lynn some vanilla and chocolate flavored balsamic vinegar. She and her husband are great cooks, so I know these little babies are going to a good home. Picked up some black cherry flavored BV, and some California Manzanillo EVOO for me. :) Got a couple of goodies for Jack too (everyone else is in the queue and who knows how long 'til they get their stuff...)
Deets on this little paper love- Card base- Memory Box, Sentiment- Amuse, Image- *blush*I gotta get back to you on that one, Paper/Rub-on/Sticker- Fancy Pants-Lilac House. I paper pieced the apron and colored it with Copics.
My advice for the day- If you are like me then you really need to check your calendar and see what you've missed. LOL! :)

Autumn in the Air
Autumn is definitely in the air this weekend, but the Nor'easter has passed and the sun came out so we took some time to wander the hills of Maine with the ever-eager-for-a-walk Cadfael. The leaves even put on their colorful frocks for us!
Keeping with the crisp autumn day theme... :) I thought a cute pumpkin card was in order! This is all made with bits 'n pieces. The stamp is from ducks in a row, the paper from memory box, and I used my copics to quickly color it all. Enjoy!

Tea Time Love
I hope y'all enjoy yet another card from the kit I got. If you didn't see the others you can go here, here, and here.
The teapot is a die from PTI and that's also where I got the frame for the sentiment. The blue paper is from Fancy Pants Lilac House, but I can't for the life of me remember where I got the card base (I had been storing it on the bottom shelf of The Store with my other card bases).
I sent this get well greeting over to:
Stamp Something- something punchy
Paper Sundaes- something from your stash (the card base)
Paper Playtime- ribbons, buttons, or rhinstones
Pollycraft Monday- anything goes
Cute Card Thursday- make your own embellishment (the teapot)
The Color Dare- blue, green, brown
Enjoy!

Jar of Thanks
Here's a couple more cards made with the same new kit I used the other day. :)
I forget where I got the polka dot cards that I used for the base, they were in my stash and the dots just sang with this FP paper. The jars were made with PTI dies and then I stamped the jar outlines and sentiments afta. Oh yeah, the ribbon! It's PTI too. ;)
Honest to Pete, I am always short on thank you notes. *blushing* I guess should count my blessings that I have so many people to thank for so many things.

Lotsa Thanks
Another card (actually one of 2) I made using the kit club kit I got last week. :)
It's fun to mix all the patterns and colors! I've been watching Sarah's House reruns on HGTV and Sarah's influence had some definate influence on this card :) . I adore all the patterns and colors she mixes together.
With this card all dressed up, I went over to the parties at:
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge- 5 layers
Stamp, Scrap & Doodle- anything goes

Some WCMD cards :)
I belong to a "kit club" at my LSS. I don't ever get to go to the meetings since they are during the school day, but I love getting a collection of goodies and challenging myself to see what I can come up with using mostly just kit supplies. So here's a little peek at what I came up with on Saturday...
The papers are all Fancy Pants Lilac House. I cut a the paper ahead of time with no plan in mind and then just played around to see what looked cute. :)
After I decided what I liked together, I went to work. Love that tear-able double stick tape for holding ribbon.
Full disclosure- this green velvet scallop ribbon wasn't in the kit. There was a stunning magenta version that I did use on another card set I made from this kit. ;)
The die cut teapot and scalloped graph paper are courtesy of PTI die cut plates. OMG these are fantastic!!! I forget the get well sentiment maker (but if you are really interested, just ask and I dig around to find it), but the border is also PTI.
Here ya go! The final product. Hope you enjoyed the process and I'd love to see what you made for WCMD!
I poured my cuppa and sent my greetings here:
Sweet Stampin Challenge- Punches
Color Throwdown- plum, espresso, vanilla
Moxie Fab World- offset scallop challenge

Tennis Anyone?
Here is the other set of cards I mentioned on Monday. I made 35 of these cuties and I'm so happy to say that Jean adored them all. Phew! I'm always on pins and needles until to hear if someone likes what I've made for them.
Gosh I thought I would have gotten this posted on Thursday, but I've been chasing my tail all week!!! Here's to a fresh new week! :) I made some great goodies on World Card Making Day. If all goes well, I'll get some of 'em posted this week.
I volleyed this one over to:
Glitterbabe's Challenge- Embossing (the card base)
Incy Wincy Designs- Anything Goes
Stamp Something- Something to Celebrate (the cards are thank yous for a surprise b-day party)
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps- Something to Celebrate (the cards are thank yous for a surprise b-day party)
