I had planned to post a different card today, but all the talk of Bastille Day made my card muse hop into action. :)
I was watching a news segment this morning and the chef running the cooking segment had the cutest outfit with these colors. She was talking about cooking a wonderful french meal (which I dreamed about making for about 5 minutes and then realized I'd actually have to get my act together so I quickly abandoned the thought).
I really need to spend some quality time in my studio and get a bunch of projects done, but I let my muse take over and came up with this. I used the sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 77 and a fun stamp from Hero Arts. You can't tell from the picture, but I added sparkle to the Eiffel Tower in an effort to reflect the sparkle of the tower at night. You know me, gotta add some sparkle!
So what are you celebrating this week?
So pretty!! The Eiffel tower looks splendid against that backsplash of RED!
ReplyDeletepretty! great color combo for that image!
ReplyDeleteThe colors you used make this card special. It is bolder than the traditional vintage look and I love it. My family recently visited Paris and we really enjoyed the lights at night. Thanks for making me remember!
