No Surprises This Year

This Christmas season will not take me by surprise this year!  That's one of my New Year's Resolutions that, so far, I have been able to keep.  :)
This is the yummy kit that I got this past December.  I was totally in love with the whole package (mostly Crate Paper Peppermint) and totally overwhelmed by the hectic season as well.  Happily I was able to put this kit aside 'til now.  Now let's break into it and see my jumpstart!!!!
The button was part of the embellishments in the package, but the snowflake and heart bling were in my stash.  It's a simple card and I like how cheerful it is in all it's simplicity! :)
My husband's family has a thing for peppermint stick ice cream, so in all likelihood this card will find itself in one of their mailboxes sometime after Thanksgiving. I know, I know how can I possibly think about Christmas when it is January.  Gotta tell ya, it was far too hectic and too few cards made it out this past Christmas.  Still feeling guilty about it.  My DH and I both always write little notes in our cards. Last year folks were lucky to get us both to sign and mail their cards and neither of us enjoyed the process.  Kinda sad when you think that I make cards- and I LIKE making cards.  So this year I'm pacing myself and doing little bits all year and that way can enjoy it all.

  2. No exactly what you mean about wanting to make cards, write notes but not having enough time to do it in! Good luck in getting them done by June! That is my goal this year or else I'm sending store bought ones. ANYWAY... love the card you have designed! Peppermint sticks/candy always remind me of the holidays. Sweet!

I am planning on being up with celebrating this year as well.
I am glad I'm not the only one with a Christmas project up for today, lol.
